Join an innovative web development team at one of the largest and most respected associations in the country. The Society for Human Resource Management is seeking a Manager, Web Development to play a key role in our small but cutting edge development team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about web development and eager to take a hands-on role to project manage a team of developers. This position requires 50% management, 50% hands-on for the development, testing and deployment of front-end software solutions supporting SHRM’s numerous products. Will oversee SHRM’s web development and e-commerce functions; create and maintain applications, conduct research, evaluate and recommend new web-related technology. Requires previous supervisory or team lead experience, degree with 5 years web development experience and proficiency in asp, .net, html, MOSS/sharepoint and sql. Desire useful experience with java, php, IP protocols, flash, x-query, and full-life cycle. Proficient with user-interface, information architecture principles and software integration. Good written and verbal communication skills are very important, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. Must be able to convey technical concepts to non-technical staff; innovative in problem solving; ability to mentor junior staff members; and enjoy contributing to a fast paced and ever changing environment.
