Avenue A/Razorfish has an immediate opening for a user researcher in our Chicago office. As a member of our User Experience community, you would work with our strategy, creative, and technology teams to:
Understanding target audiences’ needs and other motivating factors that drive behavior, and developing key insights and frameworks to help clients and design teams respond to the work
Helping to translate insights into concepts for compelling interactions and experiences
Developing POVs around specific user groups and in specific industries based on ongoing research work
Consulting to project teams on user insights and behaviors relative to their projects
Degree in a related field, such as human-computer interaction, product design, interaction design, anthropology, human factors, or equivalent experience
5+ years experience
Demonstrated expertise in-context ethnographic research methodology and qualitative inquiry
Expertise in translating findings from qualitative research into actionable insights for innovation (Persona/user modes, need states, and experience modeling)
Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills
Excellent video capture and editing skills (non-professional software)
Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions
Experience working with design teams to translate user research into design decisions
Willingness to travel
