My client, a leading financial institution that offers services including trading, research and account management, is looking for a Senior User Interface Designer. Then, this job is for you. We’re a casual and fun environment (don’t let the financial part scare you) and we’re looking for an expert visual designer who can use their expertise in typography, color, layout and shape to partner with interaction designers and developers to define and design the User Interface. This role is part of the User Experience group (how did you know?) that prides itself on following a UCD process when designing goal oriented solutions to challenging, client centered and business problems.
Responsibilities:
_Deliver branded mock ups with graphic design specifications (layout rules, typography annotations) describing user interfaces for individual projects/products.
_Provide input to our guidelines for user interface design, visual design and branding.
_Analyze and translate usability research findings in to design improvements.
_Partner successfully with development teams, strategy, marketing, other user interface professionals and customers to design and test products.
_Design, create and optimize graphical assets, typography, and layout within the parameters of the digital realm.
Qualifications:
_MFA in Interface Design, Interaction design, communication Design, Graphic design, HCI, Industrial design or equivalent level of proven experience.
_Minimum of 6 years as a key interactive designer for e-commerce/web applications and/or desktop software.
