Responsibilities
• Generate crisp, innovative, and elegant design solutions.
• Articulate abstract concepts through writing, diagramming, sketching, and prototyping.
• Be comfortable leading as well as supporting design teamwork.
• Facilitate the exploration and understanding of a problem space and drive to get to the heart of the problem.
• Move easily between the forest and the trees, and have a keen understanding of what level of detail is appropriate at a given time.
• Enthusiastically partner with user research specialists to understand end user goals and environments, and apply research findings throughout your designs.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to design for business objectives and technical considerations.
• Advocate for the user.
• Make clear, well-founded decisions.
• Communicate clearly.
• Drive solutions to completion.

Knowledge & Skills:
• 5+ years of professional software design experience.
• Masters degree or comparable experience in Human Computer Interaction, Product Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Thorough understanding of user experience design for highly interactive desktop products or rich internet applications.
• Expertise in either Flash prototyping or visual design, and the desire to master both.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and successfully launch new products.
