Job Summary
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic software engineer who is self-motivated and hardworking to join our MATLAB Infrastructure team. You will work with a team of developers to directly support our Windows version of MATLAB. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated hands-on experience developing robust applications for Windows based platforms, and a desire to work with the latest technologies.
Responsibilities
Identifying ways to improve the quality of our Windows offerings in the areas of integration with the desktop, startup performance, signal handling, threads, OS support, as well as others.
Improve quality of existing API’s
Improve the usability of MATLAB on Windows.
Share Windows expertise with other teams.
Track Microsoft technologies and contribute to our strategic direction
Qualifications
M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering + 3-5 years commercial software industry experience
Excellent knowledge of Windows, Developer Studio, and Windows application development
Command of object-oriented design principles and must be fluent with coding in C++
Solid hands on experience working with various debugging tools
Demonstrated project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
Development for MS Windows Vista platform a plus
Familiarity with Intel assembly code a plus
