We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who believes in agile development and software quality and enjoys working in a fast paced environment with lots of opportunity to wrangle cutting-edge open source software. Strong communications with other team members and product management is essential for success. Someone who is energetic and enthusiastic about learning will excel in this environment. We are a small development team so you must be willing to step outside your role and take on other responsibilities as the need arises.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and testing (automated) solutions to business requirements captured in an agile way. Candidate will also provide production support to the Operations group when necessary.
Key Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Object Oriented Design and Development with Java, C++/C#
• Industry experience with Web Services (e.g. REST)
• SQL ability for data modeling and object/relational mapping
• Experience with design methodologies such as XP or Scrum
• SW Builds (Maven) and Source Code Controls (SVN)
• SW Test and Test design experience (e.g. JUnit, TestNG)
• Very strong communication skills
• High level of motivation and strong in a team dynamic
• Consistent interest in research and applying new technologies to SW Development
• Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline
Additional Qualifications:
• Proven experience with video distribution
• Proven work experience with an Enterprise CMS
• Proven Flash/Actionscript experience
• Proven Web 2.0 DHTML (AJAX) experience
• Workflow management experience with frameworks such as jBPM
• Experience with ServiceMix or other ESB products
