NOZA is a start-up company based in Santa Barbara that is on the leading edge of Web 3.0. What we do is rather simple in concept, but rather difficult in execution: We find unstructured and semi-structured information on the open web and we convert that data into structured, relational, industry-specific databases. We have spent the last 2 years building the foundation for our technology platform, and we have successfully used that technology to build the world’s largest database of philanthropic data (30 million records strong, 15,000 customers, growing by the hour!). We are now poised to take NOZA to the next level, and we are looking for the best and brightest to join our family and help us achieve our vision.
The Senior Software Design Engineer will perform, design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications associated with various large-scale database projects in a team environment. Additionally, one must have a working knowledge of proper database, token parsing techniques, Semantic analysis, and Natural language processing. Support and install software applications/operating systems. Participation in the testing process through test review and analysis. Familiar with standard network and database concepts, practices, and procedures is required. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish a variety of tasks working under general supervision.
Requirements:
Educational Background and Experience:
• B.S. in Computer Science or related degree
• 4-6+ years of experience
Applicant must be proficient in the following:
• In Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• IIS
• Apache
• MySQL
• C
• JavaScript
• PHP
• HTML
Additionally applicant must have a working knowledge of:
• Proper database functionality
• Token parsing techniques
• Semantic analysis
• Syntax
• Natural language processing
• Named entity recognition
Job duties will include
