Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Software Architect will actively participate in defining the Company’s strategic and product vision.
Responsibilities
• will establish consistent engineering principles and procedures, coordinate integrated software releases, and provide guidance on best practices and engineering problem resolution throughout the Company
• will evaluate proposed designs and architecture for feasibility of design and sustainability under long-term development and support efforts
• will hire, mentor, and develop a strong engineering and development staff
• will gather, define, and document product and solution requirements as part of the engineering team
• will build strong relationships with customers and provide contact point for technical discussions
Qualifications and Expertise
• must have Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from reputable University
• must have 5 years professional experience managing engineering and software development teams
• must have 3+ years experience developing Internet consumer-facing software applications or services, for consumer-facing Internet application developers
• must have demonstrated ability to manage geographically-distributed development teams, both in-house and contract-based, in fulfillment of new applications and sustaining products
• must have proven track record managing focused engineering teams and concurrent project tracks, with attention to achieving milestones and executing on deliverables in a predictable manner
• must have background in enterprise-class distributed, multi-tier web-based applications
• must have experience with the following technologies: MySQL, Java, PHP, AJAX, JS, PERL, XML/SOAP, scaled servers, APIs
