Senior Security Engineer at ManTech International Corporation (Falls Church, VA / Columbia, MD / San Antonio, TX)

We currently have open Security Software Engineer positions in the Falls Church, Virginia; San Antonio, Texas; and Columbia, Maryland areas. As a Security Software Engineer, candidates will be responsible for highly specialized software development, vulnerability research, network analysis, and other related and exciting areas within the computer security industry. The candidate would need to rely heavily on their abilities to innovate creative solutions to very interesting problem sets. Security Software Engineers will be expected to routinely utilize and further develop their skills in one or more of the following areas: professional software development; software reverse engineering including extensive disassembly analysis using tools like IDA Pro; computer and network vulnerability testing and penetration techniques. Security Software Engineers are expected to research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in software development and the computer/network security industry. Candidates will enjoy working in a team environment that promotes sharing and creativity both in and out of the workplace. Additionally, while no clearance is necessary to apply, all Security Software Engineers will be subjected to a government security investigation and must maintain eligibility requirements for government security clearances. US citizenship required.

A Security Software Engineer’s capabilities should include a combination of the following:
- High level of intelligence and passion to solve difficult problems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent experience
- Professional programmer in: Python and/or Perl, C/C++ and/or Assembly (x86 and 64-bit Intel/AMD, MIPS).

Desirable qualifications not necessarily required for this position:
- Experience fuzzing, reverse engineering, disassembly analysis and other vulnerability discovery skills
- Experience conducting static and dynamic analysis including thorough source code review, debugging, and reverse engineering
- Extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of multiple operating systems and/or embedded systems.
- Experience developing low and/or high level applications and frameworks.
- Database design and development.
- Web design and development.
