Responsibilities:
- Work with product management team to transform customer requirements and needs into value-added and well-integrated solutions
- Design and implement rich Internet web applications using Java frameworks and other Internet technologies.
- Drive UI design and usability innovation, also participating in usability testing
- Address performance and scalability challenges
Required Experience:
- 5+ years experience as a Software Developer
- Strong Java programming and debugging skills
- Strong experience developing web applications and user interface with Java technologies, especially Struts, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, and Spring
- Experience developing with web presentation technologies, especially AJAX, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS and multi-browser compatibility
- Experience developing with JavaScript toolkits such as Dojo, YUI, GWT, or others is a plus.
- Development Experience with JavaMail, JDBC, SQL, Hibernate, XML, and web services is a plus.
- Proven history of developing large-scale high performance web-based applications preferably used by the general public with high traffic volume
- Tomcat and MySql experience is a plus.
- Passionate about search technologies, UI innovations, and open source technologies.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (or equivalent work experience).
