Position Summary
With more than 15 million monthly users, Evite.com is the top destination for invitations and party planning. With interactive tools and content, the site helps hosts be more successful while saving money and time. And in the coming months, Evite plans significant growth, expanding from invitations to ownership of the entire lifecycle of social event planning – everything from booking group travel for that Vegas New Year’s party to sharing photos taken at the company picnic to launching Evite in international markets.
With that growth in mind, the Evite Development Team is seeking an inspired Senior Interactive Designer to collaborate with the Art Director, Product Managers, Marketing, and Development Team on all aspects of the Evite product and application design and user experience.
The Senior Interactive Designer will help formulate and develop the information design and user interface of Evite products and applications, reporting to Art Director. Primary responsibilities include working in a team environment to create Photoshop comps as it applies to interface and interactive design, create interactive banners, components, and demos. Other responsibilities include supporting the Marketing Team by designing promotional content for online campaigns, marketing components, and newletters.
Qualifications
-Solid foundation and passionate about user centered design methodologies with experience in information design, interaction design and interface conventions for web applications
-Solid Photoshop and CS3 skills
-Flash experience as it applies to interactive and motion design (actionscipt skills a plus)
-Strong sense of web design styles, color, layout, and typography
-Strong understanding of image optimization for the web required
-Web integration knowledge (HTML, CSS, Javascript, ActionScript etc.)
-Must have online portfolio
-Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a team player
-Manage workflow and deadlines of multiple, simultaneous projects
-Customer focused with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience / Education
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or other visual arts
-Minimum of 5-7 years experience in designing web-based user interfaces, including experience designing organization, navigation, for large complex website applications
-Solid experience in user-centered design processes and usability principles
-Proficient in web design and established software tools: CS3 Suite, and Microsoft Suite
