Mitchell User Experience is seeking a talented Senior Interaction Designer to join our growing team of dedicated professionals. You will need a thorough understanding of UI design fundamentals and best practices to solve complex design challenges arising from users’ mental models and underlying system architectures. Be part of our multidisciplinary team of researchers and designers, and collaborate with product managers, architects and engineers to ensure user needs are kept at the center of the product design lifecycle. Responsibilities:
* Establish UCD plans and lead UI designs throughout product design lifecycles
* Assist with user research and distill findings into design recommendations
* Synthesize business requirements, scenarios and use cases into conceptual wireframes
* Conduct design review sessions with project stakeholders and customer representatives
* Collaborate with PM and IT to ensure designs balance user needs with business goals and technological capabilities
* Design and develop high-fidelity interactive prototypes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Create UI to specifications document and communicate designs
* Evangelize the UCD process and promote adherence to design standards and best practices
Qualifications:
* 3+ years experience designing UIs for software applications
* BS in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or related field
* Deep understanding of UCD methodology, UI design best practices, and current UI technologies
* Demonstrated expertise creating prototypes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills
* Proven effectiveness working with cross-functional teams and interacting with customers and users
