POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Senior Interaction Designer to take on a position of leadership and influence within a large, busy team, building websites and web products for Moms and Dads. In addition to have strong experience documenting interactions for web or software, this person should have experience in or working with a wide variety of web development disciplines. This person will take projects, large and small, and move them from idea to scope to wireframe to functional requirements, and protect the integrity of the user experience as the project moves through design, development, QA and launch. This person is expected to have significant impact on our product offering, which hopes to improve the lives of moms and dads in meaningful ways.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Initiate analysis of site features and oversee optimization efforts.Based on research, analysis and competitive review, initiate ideas achievable for improvements Substantiate improvement recommendation with analysis and projections for improvements in key metrics.
* Help design, conduct and interpret usability research.
* Respond to innovation ideas from the team, assisting and guiding strategic thought
* Generate wireframes, site maps & user flows, quickly and reliably
o Wireframes should provide basis for documentation for all aspects of a product, including: Content management, editorial calendar, art production and maintenance, information architecture, display logic, error states
o Wireframes should be appropriate to the stage of production: Initial buy-in, proof of concept, scope definition, requirements for developers and designers
* Procure buy-in with stakeholders early and often
* Synthesize feedback from stakeholders & director with grace and creativity
* During development, respond to day-to-day, minute-to-minute questions from artists, developers & project managers.
* During QA, participate heavily in bug finding, and documentation of improvements and clarifications.
* Manage tasks, develop talents of 1
