The Senior Information Architect is a strategic problem solver who can effectively bridge the gap between user needs and real world development. You will work closely with clients during projects, defining problems by asking the right questions and effectively communicating the solutions. You are comfortable working in highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary teams, and communicate effectively with designers and developers.
Job Responsibilities
⢠Lead the IA/interaction design effort on one or more projects
⢠Investigate clientsâ functional and business requirements through workshops and stakeholder interviews
⢠Conduct task analyses to marry business requirements and user requirements
⢠Thoroughly audit clientsâ current interaction models and conduct competitive research
⢠Craft concept models as a way to communicate complexity and explore solutions
⢠Author information architecture, taxonomies, task flows, navigation systems, and finely detailed visual schematics
⢠Demonstrate screen-level interactions through agile documents or prototypes
⢠Facilitate client discussions and drive presentations
⢠Collaborate with content writers, visual designers, and technologists to safeguard the continuity of an ideal user experience
⢠Package deliverables in a strong, structured, and usable format
Job Qualifications
⢠5+ years experience in sophisticated interaction design, either on the agency or client side
⢠Ability to design and moderate observational studies; strong experience interpreting user inputs
⢠Strong familiarity with trends and standards related to the browser and desktop as frameworks for interactive development
⢠Your experience will include rich application design
⢠Write well, speak well and laugh out loud
⢠In-your-sleep fluency with visual-design tools like Visio, OmniGraffle, and InDesign
