We are looking for a Senior Developer / Architect / Technical Team Lead to join our Information Technology team. We seek an individual who demonstrates strong skills with problem solving, technical leadership, and communication. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, will be able to learn quickly and take initiative to get things done, and will be someone who thrives when faced with new challenges on a regular basis.

The Senior Developer/Architect will act as the technical team lead through the entire project life cycle, and will create and execute project plans. The Senior Developer/Architect will also effectively communicate risks and issues with project stakeholders, acting as a liaison between partners, vendors, clients and the technology team. This person will also be responsible for guiding & extending the web application architecture by working with the Enterprise Architect to share knowledge and incorporate innovations across project teams. The Senior Developer/Architect will lead by example, acting in a hands-on development capacity while mentoring peers. This must be done, in part, by enforcing good development practices, conducting regular code reviews, and ensuring quality throughout the software development process. As Team Lead, this person will conduct performance evaluations of junior team members.

Qualified candidates for the Senior Developer/Architect opportunity will possess a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent, will have 7-10 years relevant work experience, and must have experience managing others, as this person will manage 1-2 employees. Previous positions held must include positions such as Senior Engineer or Consultant. Candidates should also have a deep understanding of best practice software design, including OO methodologies and SOA, and should have strong experience in relational database design and SQL programming. Knowledge and experience with design patterns and agile software development practices (unit testing, continuous integration, refactoring, etc.), is required, as is knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, XSL and Web Services. Qualified candidates should be proficient in .NET development tools, best practices, and technologies, and should have experience and understanding in building complex web-based applications. Experience with Content Management Systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills are essential, namely having the ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
