SchoolNet is actively seeking an Information Architect to join us in a full time employee role. The ideal candidate will be a practical-minded perfectionist with the ability to create a compelling, consistent user experience while working through complex details during the product development lifecycle. We are looking for a skilled practitioner with extensive experience working collaboratively to create user-centric products that are useful, usable and desirable. You should enjoy working autonomously in a team based environment, taking initiative, and designing innovative products for educators, administrators, parents and students. This position will report to the Vice President, Product Management.

Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information architecture, HCI, cognitive science or related field
• 2+ years experience in information architecture and interaction design
• Extensive experience with development lifecycle of enterprise software applications, including business intelligence tools and transactional systems
• Skilled in developing concepts as wireframe schematics and realizing them as functional, "click-through" prototypes, both digital and on paper.
• Ability to collaborate with product managers to translate customer requests into useful, efficient functionality
• Ability to interact with technology teams to create workable solutions
• Familiarity with field and lab-based usability and user research methodologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to articulate user experience rationale and strategy
• An outstanding portfolio of detailed page schematics, functional specifications, interaction flows, site maps, navigation systems, and web-appropriate writing
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS; experience with Dreamweaver, GoLive or other web authoring tools a plus
• Skill with Visio and/or other IA tools required. Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and other drawing and authoring tools a plus.

• Functional Specifications, wireframes, site maps and process flows
• Clickable prototypes of products and features to be used for usability testing, product demonstrations and user research
• Site Maps, Process Flows and Wireframes
