Responsibilities:
* Drive the design of clean, efficient, useful application interfaces from conceptualization to implementation Translate user requirements and complex business processes into highly usable, highly interactive Web applications
* Construct diagrams, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate your designs to internal and external stakeholders
* Work with usability specialists to conduct usability tests, site visits and other user research to inform and validate your designs
* Collaborate with branding and graphics specialists to support the visual style of salesforce.com
* Conceive, document, and evangelize user interface guidelines and design patterns
Required Skills/Experience:
* At least 4 years experience designing applications
* Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
* Bachelor’s or higher degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or related field preferred
* Strong conceptual skills and proven ability to create interactive prototypes and/or mock-ups
* Demonstrable application design skills with ability to show relevant work
* Proficiency in interactive prototyping using HTML, JavaScript and CSS preferred
* Proficiency using visual design tools such as Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop, or Illustrator
* Expert in applying user-centered design methods and best practices
* Focused on providing best-of-breed UI designs without losing sight of the real-world user’s need for “fast and simple”
* Independent self-starter with strong project management skills
* Ability to work as part of a team with product managers, graphic designers, usability specialists, and others
