Rocky Mountain News: Interactive Producer

RockyMountainNews.com is looking for a motivated person to help build innovative tools and interactive portions of RockyMountainNews.com. This person will work closely with our Web developers, print editors and reporters on diverse projects and in an exciting, deadline-oriented environment. You will also have the opportunity to edit audio and video for our multimedia projects.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Ability to conceive and develop interactive projects for the site

• Advanced HTML and CSS proficiency

• Understanding of user interface and ability to produce designs that meet users’ needs
• Proficiency in Flash CS3

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop CS3

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work in a team environment and under pressure, with tight deadlines

• Experience working on a media Web site

Desired skills a plus:

• Experience with XML

• Experience with optimizing video for delivery online

• Experience with online audio/video production

• Experience with Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premier

Salary for this position is based on a union scale which tops out around K per year. Merit pay is also available for producers with advanced skills.
