The MTVN Digital Research Group has an opportunity for a Manager of International Digital Research.

This position will report on the quantitative and competitive research function as it pertains to the suite of MTVN International Digital Brands including but not limited to: MTV.com, ifilm.com, Nick.com, shockwave.com, neopets.com, addicting games.com, atomfilms.com, x-fire.com, addictingclips.com, gametrailers.com. The position will also coordinate key primary research projects for the International Digital Media Group.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented individual; this person will report directly to the Director of International Research & have a dotted reporting line into the US digital media research team. The Research Manager is responsible for supporting the international digital media team working with product development and content teams to help develop their strategy. Candidate will also be responsible for developing global reports and providing insights about our online audience. Candidate must work well under pressure and be able to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Overall responsibilities:

• Regular reporting of all MTVN International site traffic as well as local competitive sites using Comscore and Omniture
• Regular & ad hoc data analysis and insights relating to 3rd party consumer/market data including purchased syndicated studies & industry trends
• As data improves, regular reporting on mobileTV & WAP viewership
• Commission/direct/support key primary research projects for product development/strategy
• Leveraging market research and consumer behavior learnings across the entire digital organization
• Work with local Research teams to create standards, shared resources, identify & share best practices & insights
• Integrate closely with US DM Research to source/share insights, define/share common systems/standards/suppliers and generally ensure consistent, aligned, efficient global Research function relating to DM

Requirements/Skills.
• Overall knowledge of Digital Media industry - including online (broadband), wireless & gaming, and other emerging technologies
• Experience with Comscore/M:Metrics
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation/writing skills
• Give presentations to top level executives on site’s performance and a competitive analysis
• Strong ability to multi-task, think strategically and problem solve
• Self motivated and able to work unsupervised
• International travel may be required

Candidates must have:
• 3-5 years of online media experience, excellent client communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor degree or higher.
• Strong understanding of new media and the digital industry. Including familiarity with Internal Web tracking solutions (Omniture SiteCatalyst) and syndicated research sources (comScore Media Metrix, Jupiter, Forrester, Hitwise, etc).
• Self starter and highly proactive.
• A proven strategist.
• Ability to manage a team of research professionals.
• Ability to work independently and within a team striving towards a common goal.
• Ability to spearhead a project and manage it through to completion.
