Must have the ability to work independently; be a creative, self-starter; critical thinker; be flexible and embrace new technology. Must also have the ability to process multiple projects accurately and on schedule, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, diverse working environment. College degree or equivalent experience in technology preferred. Duties include design and develop complex Internet applications • Maintain existing applications • Work with customers and other staff to help determine project specifications • Adhere to HIPAA requirements on confidential information • Familiarity with version control (Subversion/CVS preferred) & test-driven and pair development • Competency in Ruby and/or Python, Javascript and PHP (some Perl and Java) • Experience with Linux (RedHat-based preferred), Apache, Tomcat and MySQL • A voracious appetite for knowledge and self-improvement • Comfortable with Mac-based development and/or working with Mac-based devs. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
