The Web designer/ media developer will lead the design and development of Quinnipiac’s Web sites and its interactive content/multimedia in order to advance the recruitment of students and to communicate effectively with alumni, parents, friends and prospective donors.
Job Duties:
- The Web designer will maintain the look and feel of Quinnipiac’s Web site and create new page designs that extend the site’s look and feel.
- The Web designer will serve as central resource for all official multimedia on Quinnipiac’s Web site, working collaboratively with campus contributors to develop graphical, audio and video material for the University Web site and for Quinnipiac’s site on iTunes University.
- The Web designer will occasionally work on projects for other digital initiatives, such as MyQ, the internal Quinnipiac portal, and serve as an adviser for the athletics Web site.
Qualifications:
- BA or BFA in graphics, art or design or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
- Three or more years of professional Web-design experience
- Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS and related Web technologies
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the constraints and possibilities of Web technologies
- Ability to juggle demands of multiple competing projects under tight deadlines
- Rich media experience (video/audio podcasting, video streaming, video/animation integration in Flash, etc.) is a strong plus
- Previous experience working with a content management system
