We are seeking a Quality Engineer who can leverage hands on experience with custom technologies to test remote interfaces and Web 2.0 UIs for our Fortune 500 and start-up clients. You will work closely with our development teams using an iterative process that values collaboration and prizes QA involvement from the beginning of a project to completion.

Your work will be varied and challenging as you consult with clients to assess and address their needs, employing the latest and greatest in technological innovation. This is the perfect opportunity to expand your working knowledge across a breadth of applications and a range of industries.

As a Quality Engineer for Tacit Knowledge, you will be responsible for delivering software solutions in the following areas:

• Define test cases and test plans for projects;
• Create test matrices for input fields, repeating issues, and traceability;
• Incorporate combination testing, such as all-pairs, and include risk analysis into test plans;
• Automate key areas of functional, performance, and remote interface testing, using your scripting skills;
• Communicate with clients, project leads and other software consultants on multiple projects.

The Quality Engineer skills and experience you will bring to Tacit Knowledge will include:

• 5—8 years experience developing test cases and test plans in a highly technical environment;
• Ability to work remotely and on-site;
• Experience using Open Source testing tools such as Selenium or Fitnesse is a must
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g. Ruby, Python, Perl) is a must
• Experience using Agile is a plus;
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients, across a range of industries with diverse technologies;
• Experience in a professional consulting environment is a plus;
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
