Quality Assurance Analyst at DraftFCB New York in New York City

The Quality Assurance Analyst has an expertise in test planning and strategy development, creating test cases, plans and procedures. Direct the execution of tests and quality control functions, including those performed by junior testers. Oversee defect tracking and resolution.

The Quality Assurance Analyst will have extensive experience in testing web sites and web based applications, have a thorough understanding of how to perform functional, regression, positive/negative, and load testing. Possess demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, specifically with respect to isolating defects during testing, documentation and repeatability. Experience with QA automation tools. This position is a leadership role under the direction of the Director of Technology.

Responsibilities
* Perform requirements analysis, including all phases and stages of software testing: functional, system, integration, data validation, user acceptance, scalability, performance, stress, and load
* Develop and execute effective plans for quality management, review, and audit

Qualifications and Experience
* 3+ years experience in QA discipline and methodologies
* A good understanding of web technologies and web interface design technologies (HTML/XHTML, Javascript, CSS, XML, AJAX, etc.)
* Skilled in one or more of the following QA tools: Rational Test Manager, Rational Robot, Rational Clear Quest, Mercury Interactive Load Runner, Rational Unified Process, Mercury Test Director and Quick Test Pro
* Solid experience interfacing with software developers and outside clients
* Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to continuous testing improvement
* Exceptional knowledge of software development lifecycle and how it intersects test practices and quality assurance
* Ability to develop and track metrics for quality assurance
* Intermediate to expert level skills with: Microsoft – Visio, Project, Office, PowerPoint; PL/SQL
* A diploma in Software Development or a related field, or equivalent work experience
