SENIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER
You will work on deep technical problems which will have an immediate and highly visible end-user impact. The team works on developing Sharpcast’s core synchronization technologies. As a member of this small, high-caliber team, you will work on a range of technologies, from novel sync algorithms to networking protocols, and distributed storage technologies. You will work closely with the applications groups to enable a unique and powerful user experience, and works with strategic partners and developers to bring Sharpcast’s technologies to third party applications. In addition, this team is responsible for architecting and implementing a massively scalable carrier-grade back end capable of supporting millions of users with high performance and reliability.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of systems-level development experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ required, Java experience desired
• Experience developing multi-threaded applications
• Networking, distributed systems, and database experience
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Desired
• Hands-on experience building a highly scalable Internet service
• Experience developing client/server systems
