PlacementScout is a small, independently funded entertainment startup based in Manhattan Beach, CA. We work hard and surf often. We’re looking for someone to add to our team that is a superstar programmer and has some awesome industry experience.
Are you a PHP whiz? Do you know MySQL like the back of your hand? We’re searching for someone who is very comfortable in a LAMP environment and can bring a ton of knowledge and experience to our team. Ruby on Rails is an added plus.
We are an online marketplace that brings together marketers and production professionals to facilitate product placements in film and television. Our technology allows brands to directly bid on scripts, plots and last minute placement opportunities to help lower budgets for productions.
Responsibilities:
- be able to design a site from the ground up and work in a "concept-to-design" model for our new network
- have solid PHP/5 skills and MySQL- Database development skills
- In-depth understanding of building social networks and web 2.0 sites
- Modifying PHP code for efficiency
- General server troubleshooting
- Database maintenance
- added bonus: Ruby on Rails experience
You will be a lead part of our core development team and someone that gets to provide key input on how the site is built.
