The right applicant will have:
• Mastery of PHP and MySQL with at least 3 years experience
• Understanding of sub-queries, transactions and foreign keys
• Experience with source control (CVS, SVN)
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, XHTML/CSS
• A strong understanding of regular expressions
• A self motivated and pro-active attitude
• An ability to understand and work with existing code
Here’s what we’d like but is not essential:
• Development Experience with PostGres, MS SQL
• Experience with various mail transfer agents
• Knowledge and experience with LDAP and Active Directory
• Experience with different PHP template systems
• Experience with Unit testing
• Tertiary qualification a bonus but not essential
• Experience optimizing code and database for performance
Your role will include developing and supporting real world web-based applications used by small business and corporate alike using the latest web technologies, optimizing for speed and performance as well as browser and server compatibility. You’ll be working on web based software such as content management systems, knowledge management software, email marketing and ecommerce software used by over 10,000 customers worldwide.
