Viable is seeking a Perl Developer to to assist Viable’s senior engineer with the development of our flagship call center platform. The developer will be contributing greatly to the design and direction of our constantly-evolving platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist the senior engineer in coordinating the project’s technical requirements.
* Code various enhancements and features for the platform.
* Participate in the research, architecture and implementation of cutting-edge VoIP technologies
* Work closely with the operations team for a smooth transition from R&D to ops.
* Provide 3rd tier support (troubleshooting & problem determination, log analysis, bug fixes.)
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficient in Perl.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
* Experience with the Perl module "POE" a big plus.
* Experience with VoIP protocols (SIP/H.323) a big plus.
* Familiarity with the Linux development environment.
* Ability to understand/make big architectural decisions.
