This person will design online advertisements, marketing collateral, special sections, branding and other marketing-related projects for NYTimes.com. This person will primarily be focused on developing online creative, but will occasionally work in print media as well. A strong competency in logo and identity development and/or Macromedia Flash development for user interfaces and marketing promotions is a plus. The position will also include design documentation, producing isolated instances of code and general assistance in the design process.

Primary Responsibilities
Produce graphics for promos, advertisements, user interfaces and marketing projects.
Assist in documentation of design processes and deliverables.
Produce isolated instances of client-side code as necessary.
Secondary Responsibilities
Support Design Director and management staff on a variety of additional projects and troubleshooting.
Assist in preparing materials for presentations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 to4 years of online marketing design experience. Exceptional level of personal organization and attention to detail, creativity, conscientiousness, entrepreneurship.
Familiar with HTML, XHTML, CSS, Web standards-based design, RSS,
Advanced familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash and passionate about interactive design and all things Internet.
Drive to develop new skills.
