About the NextScreen Web Developer Position:

The Web Developer’s responsibilities include designing, building, and implementing prototypes, new web pages and sites as well as performing day-to-day support, administration and maintenance of the organization’s technology portfolio. The web Developer will work closely with business owners and technology team members in a development environment that is highly collaborative. Exercise innovation in support of UI design and heuristics through your expertise in client side web development to enhance the overall user experience.
Responsibilities:

· Develop with an agile approach with releases every 3-4 weeks

· Responsible for developing production-level code as well as proof-of-concepts and prototypes.

· Leverage and incorporate typical and leading UI capabilities and technologies

· Work with technology team to manage third party vendors
Requirements:

· Minimum of 2+ years experience in web and/or software development

· Extensive knowledge and experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and cross browser compatibility

· Proficiency with design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Fireworks

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area

· Other technical experience should include experience with some or all of the following web technologies Ajax, Rails, and Flash (Actionscript)

· Experience with JQuery, YUI, Dojo, script.aculo.us or other JavaScript library

· Excellent teamwork skills

· Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

· Experience with agile methodologies or equivalent software practices

· Prior exp. w/a Content Management system such as Drupal is desired
