Job Description:
The position is for a senior .NET developer at Healthcare Interactive in central Maryland.
Healthcare Interactive is the research and development company committed to using innovative technology to cut costs in the healthcare industry. Specifically, our mission is to enhance product offerings in the areas of predictive modeling, information sharing, and web services for healthcare. We do this by developing the latest information portal and business intelligence technologies.
We seek an individual who demonstrates strong skills with problem solving, analysis, leadership, and communication. Exposure to healthcare industry programming is also a definite plus.
You will take an active role in the design and development of an enterprise-level application for the healthcare industry. There will be several interrelated database and communication applications that track patient/employee data and offer comprehensive analysis, reporting, and information sharing features across a web-based healthcare network. The overall solution will allow patients, employers, insurance payers, and medical personnel to share information as it relates to efficiently rendering outreach and benefit services.
This is primarily a development position; you will be asked to show that you can write code and database queries in your interview. However, it is also a technical leadership position. It should be second nature for you to interact with software technologies and be able to develop solutions that use them efficiently. You must be able to work well with a team to take a product from vision to reality. You are expected to thoroughly understand the principles of interactions between web, windows, database, and reporting technologies.
Requirements:
• Good coder and well versed in technology
• 5+ yrs: C#, Java, VB.NET or other modern OOP language
• 4+ yrs: SQL Server Database
• 5+ yrs: Combined web and windows interface development
• Comfort with C# and ASP.NET
• Reporting software experience such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, and/or Actuate
• Exposure to the full software development life cycle
Preferred Experiences:
• Experience leading a development team
• Healthcare industry exposure
• SQL Server Integration Services
• Linq, WPF and/or WCF
• Declarative programing with XML
• SPSS or other statistical package
• Mathematical background
• Automated builds (NAnt or MSBuild)
• Bachelor’s Degree or significant industry experience in CS, Math, or equivalent
• Microsoft Certification
