We are building a search and workflow solution for finding, ordering, editing, delivering and scrap-booking any media at NBC Universal. The solution will be based on a service oriented architecture, using a portal solution to present the user experience.
We are looking for an abstract thinker to build the architecture on which the user experience layer will be built. We need someone who knows how to build a framework that is simple and easy to code against. We also need this person to create coding standards and UE standards that promote maintainability and rapid development. This person will also act as a mentor to other developers.
AJAX, Java and exceptional communication skills are must haves. Experience with Agile and Getting Real are pluses.
The role will work directly with NBC and Universal producers and operations leaders.
This is a consultant position for the duration of 2008. If successful in the initial project, the candidate could move on to be a full NBC Universal hire.
