SENIOR WEB / UI DEVELOPER
This role is part of a small elite group which will include a strategist, project manager, architect, developers, and analysts to create a new world-class enterprise platform for MRU’s next phase. Position:
o Write the presentation layer of a cutting-edge, analytics-driven business intelligence portal system built on a sophisticated rules engine
o Hands-on involvement in every phase of development: design, code, test and document software
o Work with veteran designer to create UI frameworks and components
o Rapidly create fully-functional prototypes wired to sample datasets, with help from data architect and back-end developers
o Organize requirements into development tasks and execute
o This is not a UI design or management role
Requirements:
o 5+ years of comprehensive experience in web-application development
o 5+ years of D/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS 2 and preferably Flash/Flex
o 2+ years of ASP.Net, JSP, PHP or other frameworks used to develop dynamic web pages
o 2+ years of AJAX development experience:
o Back button, history, state and bookmarks
• Single-page interface
• Browser-server interactions
• Event and object modeling
• Programming patterns
• AJAX libraries and tools
o Experience with popular JavaScript frameworks (Prototype, YUI, Dojo, etc)
o Experience with JSON and XML: XSLT, DTD modeling, DOM / XPath / SAX parsing
o Strong knowledge of OO design, common design patterns and MVC modeling
o Full command of cross-browser / performance / web-standards issues
Highly preferred:
o BS/MS in Computer Science or comparable enterprise work experience
o Experience with web services/SOAP, SOA or other web-based, multi-tier architectures, preferably implemented in .Net
o Experience with Flash/Flex (Object Oriented Action Script 2/3, Flash Remoting, Data Binding, Components, etc.)
o Experience developing accessible websites (Section 508, W3C WAI Guidelines, etc.)
o Experience with web analytics Solutions (Omniture, WebSideStory, WebTrends, etc.)
o Experience in API design
o Knowledge of SQL Server, SharePoint, Visual Studio
o Experience with Agile development methodologies: short-development iterations, test-driven development and refactoring
DETAILS–
Salary range: $150+ total comp: $100-$120k base +stock options +performance-based bonus
