Tamale Software is looking to add a seasoned Windows professional to our growing R&D team to lead the efforts around installation, updates, and integration with the Tamale RMS Desktop client.
This position involves designing and implementing new integrations as well as continually striving to make the installation and upgrade process as seamless as possible.
Windows Integration is a significant focus at Tamale. This position will include the opportunity to build and lead teams.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Optimizing the performance, stability, and maintainability of our plug-ins for Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Delivering completely painless upgrades and installations of the RMS Desktop and related plugins.
• Designing and developing integrations with additional third-party desktop applications, like Firefox or IM clients
• Designing and implementing best practices for updating the various Tamale components running in Windows.
• Working with the Operations team to design build system integrations and test automation of the components
• Building a team to continuously advance Tamale’s Microsoft integration capabilities, including the evaluation and selection of an outsourcing partner.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.
• Significant Windows programming experience, including application integration, .NET, Windows registry, COM, shell scripting, Windows installer, Active Directory, Outlook
• Experience with VSTO is a major plus
• Proven track record of delivering robust and maintainable .Net Office add-ins for Office 2003 and 2007
• Ability to mentor junior developers
• Ability to work in a small company/high responsibility environment
