Job description: Our client is looking for two Java Developers to implement middle tier and front end components which utilize a variety of open source and commercial components and technologies. These individuals should be self-motivated and willing to recommend and develop technologies to the product design group and management to improve the user experience. The main focus of this group will be working on the distribution platform, taking content and distributing it in whatever format the client needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2+ years of experience developing front ends for JAVA applications.
* Proficiency in the use of XHTML, JavaScript, and AJAX.
* Working knowledge of Flash.
* Previous work in environments that used Velocity, Spring, and Hibernate.
* Strong communications skills and work both independently and collaboratively.
* Ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly and effectively.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced workplace and be able to balance multiple tasks concurrently.
* Ability to create accurate time estimates and consistently hit deadlines.
Additional skills not required for the more junior position:
* Experience coding, documenting and unit testing all tiers of a J2EE web application.
* Proficient in the use of Velocity, JSP, HTML, CSS, XML, SQL
* Experience developing and implementing Web Services and defining XML Schemas are strong pluses.
