About Us

Loudwater Labs is a funded startup with a big idea: we’re changing how people in their twenties and thirties deal with their money.

We believe that handling your finances doesn’t have to be dull, stressful or expensive. We’re looking to put out of business Opportunistic Personal Finance companies that intimidate our friends, famliy, and peers (all 40M of them) when it matters most—when we’re young and not yet wealthy or secure. In order to help people answer the question "What do I do with my money?", we’re building a web application that shows you what’s most important to pay attention to and what you can do about it.

As we bring our vision to reality, we encounter interesting and complicated problems to solve. We know that people in their twenties and thirties are aching for something that makes money simpler and we’re gathering together an incredibly talented and differently-thinking team to craft the solution. If we do it right, our work will have an enormous impact and we’ll disrupt an industry that operates through complexity, confusion, and fear.

Things you would care about if you worked here:

  • We’re an east coast startup with a west coast mentality
  • We have our own office in SoHo
  • Our development methodology is pragmatic yet agile, using test-driven development and continuous integration
  • While we use Open Source technologies, we have no aversion to getting you the best tools money can buy
  • We are a band of mad scientists and business ninjas, and come from places like IAC, Netflix, Citigroup, Six Degrees, Shopwiki, Macrovision, and Time Warner
  • We work really hard and we like to have fun

Our idea is collecting steam. The early beta works, we’re funded, and we’re growing our team of engineers, designers, scientists, and financial experts. We’re looking for rock star developers to take a hands-on role with our engineering team. You will directly contribute to what we build and how we build it. More importantly, by coming on board early, you get a seat at the table and a voice in every aspect of our growth, from the way we build the product to the way we market it.

We offer a salary, generous equity, Fortune 500 health benefits, and a 401k. If we really like you, a reasonable relocation package awaits, along with an unreasonable amounts of fresh fruit, tasty treats, and coffee. If learning more intrigues you and you think you have something to contribute, send over your resume to people@loudwaterlabs.com. To start with, just tell us why you’re excited about what we’re doing and why we should be excited about having you join our ranks, and we’ll go from there.
