Job Description
Maintain and develop integrated websites and databases. Responsible for day-to-day operations of the websites. Provide technical expertise and consultation on all technology related projects. To thrive, you must have an assertive personality, team spirit, attention to detail and excellent time management skills to work various projects at once. Communication skills to interface with project managers, web producers and clients are absolutely necessary. Must be willing to learn new technologies.
Technology Skills Required
• 2-3 years Ruby on Rails
• 2-3 years .NET platform (C#)
• 2-3 years Apache web server, IIS
• 2-3 years MySQL database, SQL, and RDBM systems
• 5 years and strong fluency in HTML/XHTML, CSS and JavaScript (No WYSIWYG; must be able to hand code)
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• 2-3 years Photoshop and Illustrator
• 1-2 years PHP
• 1-2 years Subversion, CVS or other source control versioning systems
• Strong Object Oriented and Multi-Tiered development understanding.
• ColdFusion, Perl and other languages a plus
• Flash and ActionScript 2.0+
• XML, XSLT a plus
• Strong documentation and commenting skills

Duties Responsibilities
• Responsible for the day to day maintenance of current sites, databases, applications and systems.
• Lead developer on internal and external web applications
• Update website content on a regularly scheduled basis
• Help develop a QA process
• Work on a schedule with deadlines, know how to estimate the duration of projects, keep team informed about actual progress on projects
• Work with cross-functional team – interactive manager, project manager, web designer and interactive director
• Participate in the strategic planning for website goals and objectives
• Maintaining instruction documentation and procedures in Wiki
Qualifications/Expectations
• B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or similar discipline
• Proven experience in multimedia/web industry
• Good at solving all sorts of problems; use analytic thinking to decompose a problem and solve it quickly
• Self-motivated; when completing tasks, start thinking of what else needs to be done
• Responsive and flexible; you’re willing to do things above and beyond what is listed in this job description
