Sr. User Interface Designer:
The Streaming Media Business Unit at Logitech (formerly Slim Devices), is looking for a User Interface Designer for our design team. This is an opportunity to combine your love of music with a passion for user-centered design. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and collaborative player experienced in working with a distributed team. This position will specifically be focused on the software and services for the award winning Squeezebox & Transporter family of consumer electronic products. Responsibilities:
We’re looking for a multi-talented User Interface Designer who can apply a wide range of skills across a wide range of products. You’ll be working on our streaming media devices, desktop software, and our website. We’re a small design team, so you’ll be working on everything from the planning stages, to initial concepts, to prototyping & implementation, to working with the developers who will integrate your work. We also have an Interaction Designer on staff, so your role will be a bit more technical.

Qualification Requirements:
5-7 years minimum previous User Interface Design experience, with a proven expertise in Visual Design and Front-end Development. Solid academic background in human-computer interaction, interaction design, psychology, human factors, or other related fields (computer science) is also required. Proven portfolio demonstrating successful previous experience in usable product design, AND visually appealing interfaces will be required. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively, and influence product design with internal and external groups simultaneously.
- Strong graphic design skills and expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is required.
- Accomplished CSS and XHTML skills are required; Experience with Adobe Fireworks is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and Flash for rapid prototyping purposes is a must.
