Content Distribution and Networks (CDN) engineering team is building the social component of LinkedIn that enables our users to create, share, discuss and distribute highly relevant content across the LinkedIn network. We are responsible for member profiles, the affiliation networks and groups, company and education directories, the communication platform, news feeds and the address book.

The LinkedIn engineering team is seeking talented and passionate engineers to help build new features and infrastructure components for the LinkedIn Communication System. The Communication System is a responsible for email delivery, LinkedIn Inbox, network update feeds, the discussion framework, and LinkedIn answers.
Requirements
-In depth and hands on knowledge of Java, the J2EE platform and experience working with relevant tools (IDEs, ant, junit, etc.)
-Solid understanding of design, coding and testing patterns
-Outstanding coding productivity
-Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment
-Strong understanding of the server side software, scalability, performance and reliability aspects
-Prior industry experience or participation in open source projects (Java-based) is a plus
Education
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
