LEAD SOFTWARE QUALITY ENGINEER

Sermo is currently seeking a full-time Lead Software Quality Engineer to test the largest online community for physicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES
–Lead the Quality Engineering effort for one of the company’s product lines
–Define and drive the test strategy for each project
–Work with the team to estimate the testing cost and track remaining testing
–Supervise and mentor other Quality Engineers on the team
–Monitor and report on the testing progress
–Contribute individually by creating and executing test cases
–Create bug reports and oversee resolution
–Deliver QTP automation that covers the features in each release
–Work closely with project management and development to ensure projects ship on time
QUALIFICATIONS
–B. Sc., Computer Science or equivalent
–At least 8 years experience testing web-based applications
–Excellent written and oral communication skills
–Exceptional ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues
–Ability to meet deadlines and have flexibility in a fast paced environment
–Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, XML, AJAX, Java, JavaScript, and web services
–Proficiency with relational databases, with the ability to write SQL queries
–Experience working with the agile development methodology
–Previous experience working with Linux and java or Ruby
