We’re a small company growing to add an accomplished JEE/SOA Architect/Lead Developer to assist in creating the vision, architecture and develop solutions to realize the architecture. We offer flexibility you won’t find in the traditional workplace and the benefits and accountability that you will! You’ll need to demonstrate excellence in software craft and design, and be intelligently cooperative, self-motivated and disciplined. We require residence in the Metro DC area, but rely heavily on teleconference. You’ll need to work harder at communicating and collaborating, but not at commuting!
For the projects we’re staffing, we use JEE and web service-based SOA techniques to build a second generation of stable, reusable and scalable services in the healthcare marketplace. You need to be solid on your Java skills, willing to work as part of an established team, and eager to learn.
Key requirements are:
* A minimum of 8 years of practical Java experience – documented contributions to open source projects count! Please send resume equipped with details and certifications.
* Excellent Java and JEE design and development skills. Please bring examples of your code to interviews and be prepared to walk us through your thought processes.
* Working knowledge of UML
* Exposure to and preferably experience with Java Server Faces lifecycle and implementations
* Experience with ORM and AOP frameworks, especially Hibernate and Spring
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with a major clustering application server, including experience in deployment and administration – WebSphere preferred
* Technologies related to SOA (XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST)
* Must have a practical approach to Software Engineering (a process believer, but not an extremist)
* Must have a good understanding of project schedule, estimates, delivering the technical solutions on time & within budget
* Must have a <u>strong</u> desire to excel and the discipline to achieve it
* Must be local to the Washington, DC area (includes surrounding MD & VA areas)
* For qualified candidates, company can process H1-B transfer
Additional pluses are:
* Contribution to and familiarity with leading open source projects and frameworks
* Experience with Java Server Faces Tomahawk components and Ajax applications of JSF
