Lead Interaction Designer-International Team at Bank of America in Wilmington Delaware (Preferred) or East Coast

Bank of America’s eCommerce/ATM team is seeking an experienced interaction designer to lead user-centered design work for websites in Canada and Europe. The interaction design lead must have extensive experience creating wireframes, navigation, and process flow, and must also understand fundamental aspects of copywriting, visual design, and project leadership.
The Interaction Design lead will be responsible for making innovative design contributions and guiding interaction design work in Canada and Europe. The role requires a level of comfort with working on concepts and content outside the candidate’s native language, as well as familiarity with internationalization principles (including differences in formats, culture, and language). Ability to speak another language is an asset, but is not required.
The position is based in the U.S. (Delaware preferred) and requires some work during European business hours. This is a full-time position reporting to the International Pod lead

Responsibilities:

•Collaborate closely with other designers and copywriters to create memorable experiences that promote financial products and services
•Analyze and apply usability testing and customer research to create user-focused solutions
•Define user needs by conducting task-focused analyses
•Draft high-level information flows and navigation systems
•Create conceptual designs focused on maximum innovation
•Develop detailed page schematics
•Communicate and consult with the project team throughout all stages of design
•Present design solutions to business representatives and other stakeholders
•Provide interaction design estimates and project design schedules
•Develop detailed style guides for international sites, to be used both internally throughout the organization and by external vendors
•Provide mentoring, day-to-day feedback, and problem-solving assistance to other interactive designers and vendors
•Collaborate with technology and testing teams to ensure that designs are executed flawlessly
•Escalate project issues, including changes to scope, strategy, or execution
•Become a subject matter expert in designing for international sales and servicing

Required Skills:

•International or multi-lingual design experience (North America and Europe)
•Minimum 3 years web application interaction design experience
•Degree in Design or related field preferred
•Experience with complex services and product offerings, especially on the web
•Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides, and create effective solutions within those guidelines
•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through various formats (oral, written, graphic design) with project team and clients, both individually and in groups
•Strong conceptual design, collaborative, and organizational skills
•Strong communications skills and ability to present work to clients and executives
•Dedication to detail and deadlines
•Motivation for continuous improvement and ability to lead and motivate others
•Resilience under pressure and flexibility in potential conflict situations
