Our company incorporates the innovations of the web 2.0 space into the landscape of the entertainment industry. The mission is to provide a new kind of entertainment experience by changing the way people create high quality web content and interact with creative projects on the Internet.
We are looking for a talented programmer with LAMP and Flash skills to help us finish building the site. Significant work on the site began under a previous programmer, who has documented his work and is available for questions and consulting to help smooth the transition. This can be a short term freelance-type position or a long term position, depending on your qualifications and our mutual levels of interest.
The site will incorporate up-to-date social networking and video sharing functionality as well as integrated video advertising, so prior familiarity with LAMP languages and Flash are a big plus. Familiarity with AJAX is also a plus. We have a great designer, so design skills are not required.
The site currently runs on a Redhat Linux server using the Apache web server. It’s programmed in Php 5 and Mysql 5. The administration and automation scripts are in Python and XML. There is also a Windows specific batch file for deploying the code. The entire application is currently about 10,000 lines of code. The flash component is not yet built. We have very detailed wireframes for the entire site.
We are open to negotiating a pay package that could include equity, cash, or some combination of both.
