LaCie is looking for an inspired web developer to set the direction of LaCie web developments and to lead the others in our transcontinental team by overseeing their projects and coding practices; in addition to continuing work on smaller projects. A positive attitude, patience and the ability to play nice with others is key. Lone Wolf coders should not apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design new architecture for company web systems with a long term plan for phased implementation while handling daily duties and tasks.
• Implement and oversee the production of good quality, efficient and well documented ColdFusion code while meeting deadlines.
• Gather and analyze requirements from a number of departments within LaCie.
• Stay on top of changes in web development best practices. (Accessibility, SEO, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related degree with applicable work experience.
• 4+ years of Web Development experience required in ColdFusion or other comparable web programming/scripting language such as php, asp.Net, jsp. (Must be willing to convert to ColdFusion.)
• Oracle and SQL server database access technologies.
•Client side technologies (w3c standard xHTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Commonly used web technologies, protocols and standards (e.g. web services, XML).
• E-commerce
• LaCie is an international company which makes good writing and communication skills an absolute necessity.

• Ajax
• Internationalization, Localization and Multilingualization
• Web Server Administration
• Database administration
• Network Administration
• Other web development languages (asp.Net, php, jsp).
