DSC has a vacancy for a full time Java developer, to work on Mumsnet,
the UK’s leading parenting website.
The position is based in North London, UK, with some possibilities for
working from home and/or flexible working hours.
The successful candidate will have an excellent level of Java
programming ability and thus be able to write concise, efficient,
maintainable web applications. Additional supporting skills required
are detailed knowledge of SQL, HTML and CSS. No previous commercial
experience is necessary, but you will be expected to be able to
demonstrate your technical skills. If you can provide examples of
projects you’ve worked on online, so much the better.
Above all, this role would suit a well rounded, bright and
enthusiastic individual with a wide range of technical skills.
Additionally, you can expect to gain exposure to a variety of modern
web development tools and techniques, learning from other experienced
and successful members of the team.
Mumsnet is a well established but still fast growing parenting website
with over 350,000 unique monthly users. Mumsnet has a high profile in
the UK and is regularly cited in the media. This is an exciting opportunity

Salary range is £25,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
