We’re looking for someone who’s rock-solid dependable to help develop the server side components for several web sites from our Bay Area office. We want creative and passionate people who are proud of their past work.

Responsibilities:

o Work closely with the entire product team and designers both here and in our Beverly Hills office
o Design and develop Spring Components and JSP widgets
o Work closely with the front end developer to integrate JSP components with HTML and create production ready and scalable final pages
o Design and tune our MySQL databases
o Brainstorm new project ideas and feature concepts

Requirements:

o 2+ years professional experience in developing server side of Web based products using a standard Java framework (Spring, Struts, J2EE)
o Knowledge of standard web technologies, including app servers, web servers, browsers, etc.
o Java
o JSP/EL/JSTL
o Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
o Good development habits, process, and intuition
o Entrepreneurial, and self-starting

Desired Skills/Experience:

o Spring
o Ajax
o Content Management Systems (CMS) (OpenCms, MoveableType, WordPress, etc.)
o XML
o Working on an Entertainment/Consumer site
