FactSet Wireless Plus is a new and exciting addition to FactSet’s wireless offering. The application focuses on delivering real-time and delayed market data to our clients BlackBerry devices via an internal web service and a java-based client that lives locally on the BlackBerry. Many content sets can be accessed via Wireless Plus, including, but not limited to, Quotes, News, M&A, Ownership, Research, Estimates, Charting, and Debt.
In this role you would be responsible for extending the current package to meet client demands and customizations. You will work on the cutting edge of blackberry technology, testing and extending new features into our product as they are exposed. You will also work on the end user deployment aspects of Blackberries including environment and device specific troubleshooting.

General Development
• Translate technical requirements into timelines and deliverables
• Follow best development practices
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with technical staff as well as other personnel within product development
Sales/Consulting Support
• Participate in Sales or Consulting calls with clients as needed
• Respond to daily questions and bug reports and communicate to make to sure there are no misunderstandings
Technical Requirements
• Java development experience within common IDEs (Eclipse, Netbeans, BB JDE, etc)
• Exposure to GUI programming
• Exposure to client server programming (MVC, 3-tier applications)
Highly Desired
• Interest in learning new technologies and a specific interest in the wireless space
• Ability to work independently and within a group
• Attention to detail along with the ability to see the big picture
• Ability to work on multiple tasks with shifting priorities
• Self motivated
