DESCRIPTION
As a member of the Provenir R & D team, you will participate primarily in the design and development of Java servlets, EJBs and POJOS. You will be responsible for implementing new product features as well as support for existing components.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Commercial quality Java application development and system documentation
- Creative design and implementation of client presentation features of the Provenir product line
- Level 3 support for existing Provenir products
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 2-5 yrs work experience in Java servlet / JSP development
- J2EE experience (Websphere, Tomcat and Weblogic)
— Servlets/JSP development
— Experience developing transactional code
— Creating and deploying WAR and EAR files
— XML, XPATH, XSD
- Must be an enthusiastic team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated solid foundation of software development principles/algorithms
- Self motivated, quick learner with multiple programming language knowledge
DESIRED SKILLS
- Java portlet design and development
- JMS, JDBC
- Additional programming languages (VB,C#, etc)
- JUnit
- JMX
DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT
You will be expected to perform these responsibilities using the established Provenir processes and tools. These include, but are not limited to:
- Microsoft Visual Source Safe
- Websphere Studio Application Developer (5.0)
- Visual Studio 6.0
- Microsoft .NET
- Internal Production Control System
- Internal Specification and Design Tools
- Incident Management
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
- Occasional travel may be required (2-4 times per year)
