About the Job:
The person in this role will focus his/her time to develop new solutions for ad serving technology within our network. This includes designing and developing system components that analyze online ad campaigns, advertisement impressions and click logs, simulating the advertising marketplace and assessing the impact of new technologies and design on the marketplace. Close collaboration with the marketing team and development team is needed to design product feature specifications. The person in this position manages ad serving and analytics product feature lifecycles, including requirements design, implementation, testing and deployment.
This is a newly created position requiring a highly skilled individual who will create web analytics and ad serving technology for the internet. Although all code here is written using a mix of Ruby, Python, Javascript and even some .NET, we want to speak to any demonstrably passionate developer, whether or not you have experience with these specific technologies.
Additional Information:
Interaction with others is predominantly internal. You must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and have a hands-on, "get it done" approach. This is not a 9 – 5 job, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We all wear multiple hats, cross departmental lines and go above and beyond to get the job done.
Skills and Experience:
• College degree and/or relevant experience required.
• 3+ years experience developing ad serving and web analytics programs.
• Excellent development skills (any modern language)
• Must understand quantitative statistical methods and tools
• Software development on large scale highly available web sites
• Object oriented design and development
• Relational database design
• Demonstrated experience in scaling web based applications
• Excellent Agile development skills
• Demonstrated experience with Ruby on Rails and/or web development technology (PHP, ASP, .NET, etc)
