(Fairfax, VA) We are seeking a standards-aware web developer to assist in updating and optimizing the code for our current portfolio of financial websites as well as developing new projects and applications that will diversify our business focus and help to market our unique content. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL with attention to performance that can handle high levels of traffic.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of OOP and MVC, proper ANSI-style SQL, lean database design, web standards, semantic markup.
Able to rewrite poorly written legacy code.
Desire to work with other talented people in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Capable of contributing great ideas.
Also Desirable:
Knowledge of Perl, Javascript, ASP, PHP/JS frameworks, Facebook API, AJAX, XML, Apache performance.
