Entriq operates the largest worldwide platform for managing Internet video content and applications to help content providers and distributors monetize their video assets across PC, mobile and TV devices. Clients include MTV, UEFA and Intel.
Due to a huge expected growth in this area the team is expanding. The company has a very open culture, in which you need to be a self starter and should not be expected to be micro-managed. Job Description
Entriq is looking for a top performer software engineer to develop web services for Internet Television. You will have an excellent opportunity to grow your development skills and become part of the exciting new Internet Television media industry. You will be located in Hoofddorp (the Netherlands) and report to the Manager of Internet Television Engineering.
Your responsibilities will include design, development and testing of the Internet Television server system. Most of the development will be based on C# and .NET, though you will need some fluency in XML and preferably XSLT and RSS and need to integrate with back-end systems developed by other parts of the company in San Diego.
Candidate Profile
* 3 years C# development skills
* 3 years experience of back end/server type programming
* Some experience of ASP.NET
* Good familiarity with Visual Studio .NET and related products
* Familiarity with unit testing and test driven development.
* 2 years OO Analysis & Design
* 2 years experience with developing scalable web services
* Good understanding of complex design/implementation issues such as asynchronous communication and multi threading.
* Understanding of the use of XML. Understanding of RSS & XSLT is a plus.
* Working knowledge of Streaming, Windows Media, MPEG-4 and DRM is a plus
* Fluent English
Education level and experience
* University or HBO degree in Computer Science or Related
* Proven track record of developing professional web services
* Comfortable with integrating 3rd party technologies
* Internationally oriented
* Ambition to grow
